Budgeting is done at activity level in PCS in terms of hours, cost and sales. Actual hours, costs and sales are rolled up through the WBS to facilitate the periodic measurement of progress against the WBS and enable auto calculation of earned values, productivity factors and forecasts to complete.

The PCS Earned Value Tool is another key feature which will help your projects reach their planned and budgeted targets. Through the use of tabular reports or S-Curves earned values trends can also be reviewed. This gives you the ability to know precisely where you are, where you're headed and what you need to do to get there on time and on budget.

PCS keeps a full history of all previous reporting periods allowing the reporting and analysis of cost trends in terms of Budget, Commitments, Earned, Expenditure and Forecast.

The Project Schedule Export Wizard fast tracks the transfer of task, progress, resourcing and actual hours from PCS to the schedule, while the Project Schedule Import Wizard facilitates the importation of dates from the schedule into the associated activities in PCS, making this information available to all users and for time based reporting.
