MMS Overview

PREDICTION+ MMS is a fully integrated system for managing all phases of the project procurement management process, from Bills of Material through to receipt in-store and distribution to the field. It is designed to handle large volumes of data and enable the management of change to be executed quickly and effectively.

MMS is capable of processing large quantities of bulk materials such as pipe and fittings, insulation, electrical and instrumentation, and/or structural steel on major resource projects and at the same time manage an infrastructure contract with many milestone line items.

With its easy to use interface, generating Requisitions, Purchase Orders and amending these orders is a straightforward and controlled process within MMS. MMS increases productivity for engineering and procurement staff and reduces the risk of errors which leads to overall cost savings and quality management.

MMS uses an e-mail notification system to notify all key people of the flow of the purchase request, its approvals and its eventual order placement. Through a structured security system online order approvals are also available.

When an order/contract is approved in MMS, the committed value of that order/contract is automatically transferred to PREDICTION+ Project Control System (PCS) as a committed cost against the assigned activity within the projects work breakdown structure. This gives Project Controllers and Project Managers live financial information about their projects as it happens, allowing them to make the appropriate assessment and decisions about their projects financial performance early rather than waiting until the accounting cycle is complete which is typical of most systems.

MMS maintains all the expediting details of the items being procured with a full history of the planned delivery dates from forecast to final actuals. Having this information available allows your team to track the movement of all items reducing the risk of delays arising from late deliveries.

MMS uses a stock code library for all items procured. This minimizes one of the main sources of errors in the materials control process: the mistyping of stock codes and their descriptions. The Stock Code Library can be created manually, sourced from another project, or imported electronically from an external application.

MMS tracks material issues and stock levels to ensure up to date material quantities at each location, thus increasing productivity in the stores and reducing the risk of financial loss from missing materials.

MMS allows you to analyze material availability to identify shortages (current and future) early thus reducing the risk of delays arising from late material supply.

MMS is integrated with the PREDICTION+ Accounts Management System (AMS) for increased productivity and data integrity by reducing the requirement for double entry of data.

MMS has a suite of standard reports that allows the user to filter and sort procurement information with ease and accuracy. Because the data within MMS is live, the reports reflect the current status of the procurement process allowing procurement resources, project controllers and managers to keep up-to-date with the project activities.
