Document Tracking System 

PREDICTION+ DTS is the newest addition to the suite of PREDICTION+ applications. It is designed and developed by a team who are actively involved in project delivery, ensuring it provides the required functionality for users whilst providing the information and controls required by project stakeholders.

DTS is a simple menu-driven application designed to record all types of project documentation, track its movement and allocate responsibilities both internally within the project team, and externally with all outside suppliers/contractors.

DTS is simple to set up and easy to use, enabling the control of documents for a project or an organization to be performed by clerical staff, rather than enlisting an expensive specialist operator. By controlling the flow of all documents and highlighting areas of concern, the system is contributing to cost savings and quality control.

DTS can be used in single or multi project scenarios with simple or detailed coding of documentation. It has a customizable and flexible document numbering system to allow documents to be numbered in various formats. This enables users to match a document to their own or external numbering system. Drawing and specification numbering may be quite different to other types of documents for example.

The user defined document numbering system is made up from a series of codes designed to easily identify and track the document. These codes control the format of the number and aid in its creation.

DTS provides a complete register of all documents per project. This includes the original document number or reference (from the contractor or supplier) together with a separately assigned project reference number which is used for tracking purposes. DTS provides a hyperlink to the source file on the LAN, enabling the user to instantly locate the relevant file for review or revision.

DTS provides historical tracking of document revisions and movements (transmittals), giving users full visibility of where the document is and who it has been issued to in the past.

A key feature of DTS, is its electronic transmittal system. DTS collects all the documents listed on the transmittal and e-mails them along with the transmittal to the selected recipients. Transmittals may also be printed for documents being sent by courier post as required.

A transmittal may refer to as many documents dispatched received as required and also records details of addressee sender and respond-by date. Distribution lists can be established enabling quicker distribution of documents to required recipients.

The filter function in DTS allows the user to search and filter on specific criteria to produce a range of reports for analysis and quality assurance.

 DTS integrates with other PREDICTION+ module coding structures, allowing association for packaging, progressing and estimation
